West Norfolk electrical engineering was established in September 2015. With over 60 years experience in the electrical industry between the 3 directors.
Marc has developed his career through a number of local electrical contract company’s. Starting as an electrician and working his way up to Project manager and Niceic Qualified supervisor before leaving to start West norfolk electrical. Marc has a very in-depth knowledge of electrical regulations and is the company’s NICEIC qualified supervisor.
Marc has project managed electrical contracts for a large number of leading retailers in the food industry such as Princes and Premier foods. Also earlier in his career caring out works for companies such as Network rail, Anglia Water to name a few.
Marc has under taken the Eco expert online university course with schnieder electrical. He has a very good under standing of energy efficiency throughout the electrical industry. He specializes in Energy efficient lighting bringing LED ranges of lighting to various applications. Showing extensive savings in CO2 and Tariffs.
Alan has been involved in electrical control systems for the past 18years. Alan has a wealth of experience in electrical control panels including design, construction and commissioning. Motor control via Direct online, soft starts and variable speed drives are an everyday task.
With the ever expanding industrial network market Alan has been involved in many of the core principles including, Ethernet IP, Profibus, ASCII Bus, Device net, HART, Modbus, Modbus +, to name a few.
With data now a major part of industrial networking Alan has been involved with fibre optic installations & terminations for the past 8 years covering multimode systems using ST, SC, LC connections for tight-buffered and loose tube fibre types. Alan is also a registered Hellerman Tyton installer of Fibre optic and CAT6. CAT 6 installations form a major part of the business sector from offices to factories with Alan being able to design, install and test all major brands as required.
Alan also has a in depth knowledge of safety systems working closely with PILZ uk to enable him to keep up to date with the ever changing compliances.
Stephen started work 30 years ago contracting for the Ministry Of Defence involved in electrical refurbishments of aircraft hangers, security buildings and fire stations. Here he gained his skills in Conduit & Trunking systems and MICC cable installations, inspection and testing.
He then moved on to Anglian Water & British gas installations where he progressed his skills with intrinsically safe Barrier Gland systems and Transit seal technology. Here also he gained his qualifications to raise and lower lighting columns from 4 to 70mtrs using spring balance and hydraulic equipment.
He then progressed to the food processing industry where he gained his qualifications in P.L.C programming, HMI , control panel design and manufacturing. He has managed some very large projects involving design, installation, and commissioning. He has also played a major part in the relocation of several large control systems also including robotics.
He has a high level of experience in process control including PID technologies.
He is qualified to switch 11Kv systems.
